Manor House

RECENTLY REFURBISHED FOR LUXURY COMFORT

a 19th century heritage beauty

Built in 1893, the Manor House was constructed as the family home for the South Coast’s first physician Dr Arthur Wigley Bateman. Dr A.W. Bateman’s eldest daughter Mary was married at Ravensthorpe in 1907 and the Manor House continued to be a treasured family home purchased by the Raftery and Neaves Family before being purchased by Illawarra Heritage Accommodation Pty Ltd who fully restored the property with commercial facilities to cater for celebrations of the people of the Illawarra and beyond. In July 2022, Barrington Group Australia purchased Ravensthorpe and conducted refurbishments to the property to continue to service the South Coast.

The Manor House provides accommodation for up to 10 people and is self contained with fridge, 6 gas top burner stove and electric oven, dining room seating up to 14 guests, lounge rooms, salon and a variety of multi-purpose break out rooms.
